As we count down the days to Christmas, our sister site, The Six Fifty, has compiled a calendar of sorts with various festive activities across the Peninsula to get you into the holiday spirit. Tomorrow, Santa will make an appearance at the Hiller Aviation Museum by helicopter to visit and hear kids' holiday wishes. He will also appear on Caltrain's Holiday Train on Dec. 3 and 4, with stops in select cities (access the schedule here).

The City is providing emergency shelter through the weekend due to the severe cold. Speaking of weather, we're looking at more rain in the forecast, patchy fog and lows in the 30s tonight. For Saturday and Sunday, more rain and lows in the 40s. Get your rainboots and jackets out.
