Good morning, Redwood City!

Updates from the frontlines

Good news—as of early this morning, the Edgewood Fire is 90% contained, with crews focusing on putting out any remaining hot spots. If progress and weather conditions hold, Cal Fire hopes to have most of their work wrapped up by this evening.

For those without power, PG&E’s website currently says it should be restored around 6 p.m. tonight. However, the energy company is still waiting on Cal Fire to allow them access to the substation. With the cause of the fire still under investigation, there are no estimates yet on when that might be.

We’re working on some more in-depth coverage. For now, read the latest here.

Farm fresh

I’ll be back at the Kiwanis Farmers Market in downtown Redwood City this Saturday! Stop by anytime between 8 a.m.-12 p.m. to say hello, ask questions or share feedback.

Got a story idea? I’d love to hear it. Just want to talk local news over some fresh stone fruit? I’ll be there.

Keep an eye out for more stories today. And happy Thursday!

Your reporter,

Leah
